2025 Winter Working Parties

Today saw round #2 of the E.S.C winter working parties and despite some... adverse... weather conditions with wind and rain forecast, a strong band of merry helpers of all ages came to the club to chop, hack, dig and strim their way to a club ready for the coming season. Our club really does have the best members!

In just 2 weeks, lots of work has been accomplished both inside and out with the banks and islands being cut back, galley deep cleaned and sorted, troublesome branches and brambles chainsawed, amongst other things. Just wow!

Many hands make light work and it shows as the club is really shaping up and looking a little more loved. And of course, there's been lunches and goodies to keep everyone fuelled and happy whilst they get to work with some hard graft.

It's been a marvellous display of clubmanship and there's plenty more to be done so here's hoping to more good turn outs over the next weeks.

Winter working parties are on every Sunday until the season start from 11:00-14:00 or whatever you can come for. There's lunch (which varies but is usually bacon/sausage rolls), cake and hot drinks for all helpers. It would be great to see you there.
